In life…we always….assume…..assume that things will always remain the same…..assume that everything will work out…..assume that nothing will ever change……until it was gone.
It’s a natural thing that we all possess….and that would be….the ability to hope for the very best. There’s nothing wrong with that really….having a positive attitude where your life is concerned…..but remember, my friend….life does happen….and things will change.
Broken promises….broken hopes and dreams and all that this involves…..we will experience it all….life is no bed of roses….it’s what we have….and what we’re dealt…so take it all in…..it’s how we process everything…. what we learn from it all….it’s appreciating the good…the bad and the ugly. One day we will wonder where the time went….when it is gone.
We wish for the world…hope for the best…and are disappointed when things just don’t work out…but what we all forget…is that our lives are mapped out for us in advance….we simply need to follow the journey…..and learn from it all.
We need to learn to not allow heartache to rule our lives….but we do….take the people that we meet in our lives. We meet everyone for a reason….some are meant to stay for a lifetime…while others touch our heart…sometimes for a short while…simply returning when the time is right…..and one day…the time will be right.
Then there is our family….the most precious commodity we will ever know. A true gift from God…far too often this special gift is taken for granted…not appreciated…even undervalued…..and then it’s too late. Why do so many of us even let this happen…once again assuming that this special someone will remain in their life forever….until they are gone.
Have you ever wondered why we make the choices that we do….for me half of the time…it’s for pleasing others first….because it’s what I do. But then there should and often does come a time…when putting “you” first is what needs to be done….in order to help you grow…..never ever forget about you…..because without you….there is nothing.
Time…it’s clearly a “funny” thing…we all complain about it one way or another…. because if we have too much of it on our hands….then we complain….for instance….”is this workday ever going to end….and I hope my vacation never ends”…..well my friend….much to our dismay….we cannot have it both ways…..sad…but true……because where time is concerned….we will never be happy….and then it will be gone.
I have come to realize after all of my years on this earth….so far….is that time really is on my side if only I would allow myself to see things that way. I have come to realize that if I really have to think long and hard about something….then it’s probably something that I really don’t need….or something that I don’t really need to do. Because when you think too long and hard on something…..then the decision really is already made…..but I also realize that you should try not to wait too long….because that special moment in time….will be gone.
There are so many things that I want and need and I know for a fact that one day will work its way into my life….it’s because I feel this way…. that this makes certain aspects in my life even more precious. I have learned to be grateful and thankful…..because one day it will be gone.
Did you know….my friend that I was meant to cross your life’s path…..it’s true you know….because your here….right here….right now….and I thank you.

So true. I try and not wish my life away. To make the most of where I am today. Read a book that said it is experiences not stuff that create happiness in the long run. We relive our memories and share. Once you buy a new car, boots it is instant gratification and then your car and boots. Hope that made sense.

I wish I could maintain a positive attitude about my life, but it’s been a long time since I have. But at least I don’t make promises I don’t intend to keep. I don’t get why people do that.
I’ve always wanted to know why people do the things they do, that’s why I studied psychology and sociology at upper school
I think that most people make promises that they never really intend to keep is to try and make a good impression. However, it never turns out that way.
Maintaining a positive outlook on life is difficult for lots of people currently, but it is what is required to help us all get through this. I will definitely cherish moments with family and friends more.
