Bacon-Wrapped Onion Rings

Who Doesn’t Love Bacon!!!

I must admit, that one of the very best parts of Keto is…..Bacon, Bacon, Bacon!! Oh yes…..you better believe it….and who doesn’t just love bacon anyway? Breaded anything is a true no-no on Keto unless your using almond or coconut flour….which I don’t recommend for these onion rings

These Simple Ingredients.

1 Yellow Onion

1 Package of Thin-Sliced Bacon

Ranch Dressing

These Simple Supplies

1 Air-Fryer

Spray Pam or Olive Oil Spray

Tin foil

Things Remembered

Parchment paper

Cuisinart Air Fryer

This is the one that I own and I simply love it! It doesn’t take up a lot of space and it looks great with its stainless steel sleek design! This air fryer truly is a “must-have”!

Let’s Get Started

Peel the onion and slice into rings….then set aside. You will then take the thin-sliced bacon and lay out each strip lengthwise and cut down the center to make thinner strips…..then set aside. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on the counter.

While you are wrapping the onion rings, preheat the air fryer. Be sure to remove the drip tray and basket before you start the preheat. You will then take one onion ring and one slice of bacon and wrap around the onion until covered. Depending upon how large the ring is….you may need to use more than one strip of bacon to cover it. Once wrapped…set aside until all are wrapped.

After you have wrapped all of the rings that you want to be wrapped, take a small sheet of tin foil and cover the drip tray, that way all of the bacon grease will “catch” there making for an easy clean-up. You will then take the basket and spray the Pam or Olive Oil spray on it. **Here is a tip: I place my basket in the sink and then spray the inside of the basket….that way you’re not spraying the spray everywhere. After all of this…you can place your bacon covered rings in the basket.

Place the drip tray on the bottom of the air fryer and then place the basket on top of the drip tray. I like mine extra crispy, so I set the temperature at 350 degrees and set the timer for 15 minutes. Once the timer goes off, carefully remove the basket, I use a pair of tongs…it’s safer because the basket is extremely hot. Carefully turn over each onion ring and cook for 10-15 more minutes. Then remove and set aside.

Dig In!

I use Kraft Ranch Dressing as a dipping sauce, but use whatever tickles your fancy. This is such a great and delicious finger-food….that you can make enough to share!!
