The dreaded broken heart. They come in all shapes and sizes….can happen when you least expect it….will last anywhere from a few days….to even a lifetime. A broken heart will absolutely become a repeat offender throughout our lives. We simply learn how to live with and mend our fragile broke heart. But…it really never is just that easy.
The Signs And Symptoms
There is just no way around it, because it’s part of growing up….part of our journey in life. But it’s not just a broken heart….it’s also about heartache.
Heartache is a very difficult, but yet sincere emotional stress or problems and a heartbreak…it is a very overwhelming mental anguish or grief, especially when caused by disappointment or the loss of a loved one.
A Broken Heart can show signs as if you were having a heart attack…it’s true….the problem will happen when psychological distress will trigger sudden weakness of the heart muscle. It can be caused by a sudden shock or even acute anxiety. Doctors call it “stress-induced cardiomyopathy” or “takotsubo myopathy”
How Do I Love Thee…..Let Me Count The Ways
Does true love really exists you ask? Sure it does….absolutely! But true love, may not be as common as most people believe. Love doesn’t always mean that two people are compatible…..nor does it mean that the same two people are meant to be together for a lifetime. We can even have more than one true love in our lives….and the loss of one rather by a break-up or death will be devastating.
True love…..what a wonderful connected feeling. But for so many..they can be stuck in a situation where they have to leave their true love and move on. After they have moved on….had their break-up…they may not be together, but still love each other deeply…but are unable to express it. This love will never die.
Losing a child….this will devastate and break the heart to the point where it may feel that there will never be any repair to it. You just live your life….day by day…going through the emotions…not really even knowing if you’re coming or going….you are to the point of merely existing.
It doesn’t even matter really….the loss of life…..any life…..can break the heart where there feels like life simply can’t go on….. shouldn’t go on…I know this…..because…I have lived this. I have learned to rely on time….the love and support of others and prayer…to get me through this heartbreak.
Simple Heartache
Disappointment….this falls under heartache…sometimes just sadness. It can be something as minor as missing out on something special….to being a child and having your parent not allow you to have that extra dessert. But that’s neither here nor there…because a disappointment is a disappointment and it squeezes at your heart…even pulls at your heartstring and saddens the soul. This type of emotion will heal rather quickly….however it will stick in your mind for longer than we would prefer.
Loneliness….it happens to us all….sometimes when we least expect it. Have you ever been in a room full of people….but felt completely alone? Well…I have and it’s an overwhelming feeling at times….but you just work through it….and well….life goes on.
Mending A Broken Heart
Is there a cure….a magic potion. No…sadly there is no magic wand…to heal or even mend a broken heart. There is no crystal ball to see how long it will take to ease any heartache…or heartbreak. You may cry a time or two…shedding a few tears here and there. The pain will linger until the heart is ready to move on…..but it will move on….tucking away sweet memories….deep down into its very soul…..but never forgetting…..no we never forget…..that’s the very best part.
My wish for you my friend…is that loneliness….sadness…and disappointment…never lingers too terribly long…if you become in a situation where there is heartache…even heartbreak. Always remember….the heart will mend….but only time will tell.

As someone who has BPD and has wrote about how love isn’t a choice, due to how our body dictating when and if the chemicals that leads to love being released, are released, I don’t believe in true love.
Due to my BPD I fall into life fast and hard, then one day (sound 2 months later) it’ll completely disappear and be replaced with a repulsion when the person I loved touches me. I really hate that my body does that to me
