Saint Jude is the patron of hopeless causes and desperate situations, and he was one Jesus’ twelve original Apostles. He is also known by the name Thaddeus, which means sweetness and gentleness of character. He is one of the most invoked saints for intercession in desperate situations.
We have all had that time in our lives when we have felt like there was nowhere else to turn. With what sometimes would feel like there was no end in sight, no matter what the situation. You felt as though you are at your wit’s end, and even so unhappy that praying is the only way to get some sort of comfort and peace.
Saint Jude’s Novena. This is a prayer that I have used that has helped me numerous times. This prayer lasts for nine straight days. The nine days of the Novena prayer signify the nine days that the twelve Apostles prayed together between Jesus’ Ascension and Pentecost when they were all filled with the presence of the Holy Spirit. Saint Jude promises to deliver our prayers to God, and in turn, give us hope and comfort as we wait to see how our life will unfold.
The St.Jude’s Novena prayer that I pray is this:
“May the Sacred Heart of Jesus be Adored, Glorified, Loved & Preserved throughout the world, now & forever. Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray for us. Saint Jude, Worker of Miracles, pray for us. Saint Jude, Helper of the Hopeless, pray for us.”
Say this prayer 8 times a day for 9 days. It has never been known to fail. Publication must be promised. (My promise is always posted on Facebook on the same day that I complete the 9-day prayer. “Thank you Novena, for answering my prayer.”)
My Novena Rose Prayer
The Novena Rose prayer is my particular favorite. It is the prayer that I say daily, every morning. It gives me peace and even a sense of gratitude for my day ahead.
” O Little Therese of the Child Jesus, Please pick for me a rose from the heavenly gardens and send it to me as a message of love.
O Little Flower of Jesus, ask God to grant the favors I now place with confidence in your hands….. (mention specific requests)

We all need some sort of spiritual guidance and the power behind prayer is much stronger than anyone can realize. It is often hard for some people to find the right words when they pray. But if the truth is known there is no wrong or right way to pray. Because it all comes from the heart. Whether its for peace, safety, guidance or personal release. God is there to listen. Your Angels are there to listen. One must also remember that there is no prayer request that is too great, nor one that is too small.
God answers prayers the way that they’re meant to be answered. Prayer is not a guarantee, but can mentally make a profound difference in our lives and in our world. God knows what he is doing. Our lives were already planned out for us. But by keeping love, faith, hope and prayer in our lives, it is sure to keep our souls and spirits feed. Our minds strong and help us continue to grow. Just remember that we all hold the power, the power in prayer.
