Hello friends……
Welcome to my world! I’m so excited that you stopped by. My name is Brenda and I’m a proud “Home-Grown” Texas girl. I was born in El Campo, Texas a very small town that’s about an hour drive outside of Houston. My middle name is Lorraine, for which I was named after the doctor that delivered me. I grew up in the city of Pasadena, where I went to elementary, junior high and then high school. I am an alumnus of South Houston High School Class of 1979. Happily, I have remained friends with so many of my classmates to this very day.
I am blessed to have two sisters and two brothers that I simply adore. Not to mention, the BEST mom ever!! Fast forward to my life now. I am currently going on my 20th year working as a Senior Patient Coordinator for a prominent group of Neurosurgeons, located in the Texas Medical Center. I have worked in the medical field for over thirty-five years. Being there for all of our patients is extremely rewarding for me. But more recently in my life, I feel like I’m missing something. Like my professional road is taking a turn in another direction. This was when my desire to start a blog was “born”!
My husband Bob and I met in May 1994 and we were married in February 1996. As of this writing, we have been married for over 23 years. We have a blended family of three boys. Two were his and one was mine. Together we have raised them from when they were all at a very young age. They are now grown with families and wives of their own.
We do hear the “Pitter- Patter” of little paws in our home. Baxter and Riley, our two little miniature schnauzer’s that rule the ruse! They clearly let us know who the boss is!! Other than that, we have been empty Nesters for the last 10 years. More recently, we are anxiously working towards our retirement, where we plan to become full-time RVer’s for a couple of years and travel the USA!
I am really excited about this next chapter in my life. Writing has always been a passion of mine. But it was something that was always put on the back burner. So, sharing my stories with you along with our travels, my thoughts of inspiration, family and my favorite things is something that I am ready to begin and share with you! I really do hope that you enjoy what I have to say. I have never been known to be short on words!
So, pull up a chair and stay awhile. Happy reading friends.
